Purpose and Objectives of the
Trust
Extract from the
Montecillo Trust Deed Clause 4 |
| (a) |
The purpose of the
Trust are to administer the funds of the Trust which shall be expended
to the best advantage for:
(i)
The relief, assistance and support of the discharged veterans,
servicemen, servicewomen, returned servicemen, returned servicewomen,
members of the Armed Forces, Merchant Marine, Police Forces of New
Zealand and other Commonwealth countries, who may be suffering from
disablement or sickness (whether attributable to war service or
otherwise), or out of employment, or otherwise in need, and the
dependants of any such discharged persons;
(ii)
The relief, assistance and support of the dependants of any deceased or
discharged persons from the above class stated in 4(a) above

| (b) |
To carry out
spiritual, charitable or educational purposes within New Zealand for the
care of aged and infirm servicemen and servicewomen and their
dependants.

| (c) |
To provide a capital fund to provide
assistance for the benefit of the aged and infirm servicemen and
servicewomen and their dependants.
|
| (d) |
To adopt the principles laid out in The
Patriotic and Canteen Funds Act 1947.
|
| (e) |
To support the delivery of services in an
environment which promotes cultural sensitivity and safety for people
receiving the service and which illustrates a clear and practicable
commitment to the principles contained within TeTiriti o Waitangi
|
| (f) |
To do all such other acts and things as are
incidental to or will further the attainment of the foregoing objects or
any of them provided that nothing hereinbefore contained shall authorise
any objects that are not charitable in law |
